Katy volunteered to run a booth for the University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering with other graduate students in the department to educate people about renewable energy sources and how researchers are working to improve various aspects of it.

Megan visited Paris, France and researchers at Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée to learn about the French school system ranging from primary school to graduate school.
Sabbatical to Belgium
January 2015-June 2015
Peter was on sabbatical in Brussels, Belgium during the spring semester of 2015 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

Megan was granted an NSF Fellowship where was attended Friendswood High School in Friendswood, TX for 10 hours a week to try to implement more engineering activities into the classroom. She worked with Ms. Andrea Lee’s anatomy and physiology classes creating new lesson plans and activities. Some of her lessons and activities have been published on the TeachEngineering website.
